Ashton Fortune is a New York City-based actor with a split upbringing between small-town Texas and the suburbs of Washington, D.C. After studying in programs at both Carnegie Mellon University and Boston University, she graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Dance with a focus in Acting. Favorite credits include Amy in Dry Land. She has workshopped plays with Studio Theatre, Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective, The Kennedy Center, The National New Play Network, The Cohen New Works Festival, and UTNT.
Ashton lives in Brooklyn, where she continues take classes and pursue new projects, particularly those with themes of military & veterans and prison reform. She is passionate about public programming and arts-based therapy and activism.
Ashton's foundation is based in the Theatre, but looks forward expanding her work into Film and Television. She can work as a local hire in NYC, Washington, and Austin, TX.
